Retailer: Christian Louboutin
Location: Meat packing district
Date: 9/19/12
How the window reinforces the retailers image: This window has a very direct theme which parallels to the easily-spotted red sole of a pair of Louboutins. The doctors office scene with the x-rays of the shoes gives off the vibe that the brand is confident with the craftsmanship of their product, as if they have it down to a science. The occupation of a doctor, as used in this environment, speaks to the high-end customer who can afford what their brand offers.
Color Scheme: Analogous with pops of primary in the yellow of the lamp and the red carpet peeking through.
Visual Effects: The decreasing size of the "Christian Louboutin" letters draws the viewers eye to the floor of the shoes, as does the lamp pointing in their direction. The diagonal box in the left window keeps the rhythm moving from one side to the other and gives the otherwise very still looking window some action.
